Advent wreath filled with poinsettias

The traditional Advent wreath is the main symbol of the Advent season. Its familiar form lends itself to variation – such as using lots of lush miniature poinsettias to fill the wreath. Framed by the classic evergreen branches, their brilliant red colour provides a fresh and lively accent.

Step 1:

Place a ready-made wreath from a craft store or garden centre on a ceramic bowl. Small red miniature poinsettias are planted in the centre of the wreath.

Step 2:
Red glass Christmas tree ornaments with jewellery wire are carefully inserted between the poinsettias. Pine cones, either natural or with gold spray, are also placed among the poinsettias and affixed with wire.

Step 3:
A golden cord is wrapped loosely around the wreath to add a festive touch. Finally, traditional red Advent candles are added to the wreath. They should be placed in suitable candleholders to ensure the stability of the wreath and prevent the chance of fire.
